Gemstone Earrings.

I am very excited about this tutorial, given the fact I wanted to make this even before the blog was born. The only problem was: I could not find these gemstones, until last week : I stubled on them thanks to the Dutch webshop The Beadmixer.
Inspiration for this tutorial: Shourouk a beautiful jewelry brand you can find in the magical webshop of Sugar For Your Closet. And the queen of DIY A Pair and A Spare made a sort like tutorial for Vogue.

What you'll need
- gemstones
- A4 plastic (I found this at a local copy shop)

Extra: pliers, superglue, earrings studs

Tutorial

1) Start by placing the stones in their 'baskets'
2) Secure them by using your pliers and cut off the little eye
3) Arrange them in any way you like
4) Glue them onto the plastic
5) Cut out the shape
6) Add a earring plug at the back

Other possibilities

Shine bright like a diamond! ;)

Customized Water Bottle.

A customized ànd refillable water bottle. There is no nicer way to serve your guests a glass of fresh cold water!

What you'll need
- glass bottle
- decor foil for decorating porcelain and glass (found mine at De Banier 'Color-Decor' from Efco.)

extra: a cutter, scissors, template

Tutorial

Step by step
1) Cut the words you want out of the paper
2) Follow the instructions on the packaging (!)
Mine said: cut out the desired motif, lay the motif in water for a shirt time, slide the paper from the foil onto the plate and smoothen. Remove any moisture with a paper towel. Leave to dry for 24 hours then harden in the oven.

Let those hot summer days come!

- silk ribbon

extra: scissors, glue, lighter

Tutorial

Step by step
1) Follow the photos for the knotting part
2) When finished cut the end of the rope

Festival Fever: Studded Espadrilles.

A time ago I got contacted by Trendwolves, with the question if I was interested to make some tutorials with them for UrbanCrafts.tv, off course I said yes and last week we started filming the 4 tutorials I created for them.
To give you an idea and a little preview, this is one of the featured tutorials. Once the filmed tutorial is out you can check it out here, on Operation DIY and on Urbancrafts.tv !

Given the fact Summer is around the corner, including the festivals I created this Festival Fever DIY for you. A fun way to pimp your espadrilles!

 What you'll need?
- a pair of espadrilles (I found mine at Brantano)
- studs (I found mine at Veritas)

extra: pliers

Tutorial

Step by Step
1) Decide which pattern you want to created with the studs
2) Start pinning and securing them one by one
TIP: Use your pliers in any kind of way you can to secure the studs - It can be a little bit tricky
3) Use your hand to check if the studs are well secured, so that the pins will not scratch your feet!

Hit the festivals!
